Physical Therapy for Arthritis
Joint Strength and Stability is the Key
Arthritis is the general term used for several very different conditions. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is different from osteoarthritis (OA). Just because you have received one of these diagnoses, does not mean that life as you know it is over. There are many exercise programs that are safe and actually healthy for both, and your physical therapist knows what to do. Strength and stability about the joints is necessary for normal, pain free function, which is really only achievable through exercise.
